The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Zone-2, Command Headquarters Mr. Adegoke Fayoade has decorated a new Deputy and some Assistant Commissioners of Police with their new ranks.
The senior police officers that included a former RRS Commander in Lagos State, Mr Olayinka Egbeyemi were decorated by the AIG at the Zone 2 Conference Hall, Onikan, Lagos. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Egbeyemi was also a former Deputy spokesman for the Lagos state Police Command and former Chairman, Lagos state Taskforce was decorated along side one DCP and three ACPs recently promoted by the Police Service Commission.
According to the Zone-2 Command spokesperson, CSP Tunni Ayuba, the AIG appreciated the Inspector-General, I-GP Kayode Egbetokun and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Retired DIG Hashimu Argungu for approving the promotion of the officers. She said that the Zone 2 police boss, Mr. Fayoade enjoined the officers to be good supervisors to their subordinates, portray the Force in good light and be more devoted because much is expected. Mr. Fayoade also reminded the officers about the need for people friendly policing to enhance public trust.
DCP Olayinka Ajeigbe, on behalf of newly promoted Officers in his vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to the Almighty God and promised to be more responsible and live up to expectations.
