The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a change in the date for the forthcoming Joint Mega Rally of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Lekki Local Council Development Area. Originally slated for Sunday, June 29, 2025, the rally will now hold on Thursday, July 3, 2025. The time remains 10:00 a.m. prompt, and the venue is unchanged: Iberekodo Primary School in Ibeju-Lekki.
In a statement signed by Hon. Yeye Olayinka Olusanya, APC Vice Chairman for Lagos East Senatorial District, the party expressed regret over any inconvenience the rescheduling may cause but emphasized that the adjustment was made to accommodate broader participation and to ensure a successful, inclusive event.
The rally is a significant mobilization effort ahead of the upcoming Local Government Elections and is expected to draw a diverse cross-section of stakeholders from across Ibeju-Lekki and Lekki LCDA. Residents, party members, community leaders, youth groups, students, market associations, religious figures, artisans, and supporters of the party are encouraged to attend in unity and strength.
According to the organizers, the event will serve as an opportunity for the people to hear directly from party leaders, show their support for APC candidates, and celebrate the progress recorded under the current administration. The gathering is also expected to reinforce the party’s message of development, good governance, and continuity at the grassroots level.
“We call on all well-meaning residents of Ibeju-Lekki and Lekki LCDA to join us in this important gathering as we renew our collective commitment to progress and prosperity,” the statement concluded.
The APC reaffirmed its readiness to sustain the momentum of development in the region and urged the public to come out en masse for what is set to be a historic rally in support of democracy and grassroots leadership.
