The Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa, has passed away after a prolonged illness.
His death, confirmed by a close family member, marks the end of a political career defined by grassroots leadership, dedication to public service, and deep community engagement. Despite receiving sustained medical care, Prince Asafa succumbed to the illness, leaving behind a grieving family, political associates, and constituents.
Prince Asafa served as Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA with a reputation for transparency, developmental initiatives, and a strong connection with the people of his community. His tenure was characterized by efforts to improve infrastructure, enhance local governance, and promote social welfare.
In an official statement, Chief Press Secretary Bodunrin Ayodele S. described the late chairman as a “respected politician, leader and dedicated public servant whose legacy of service will endure.”
Condolences from political leaders, traditional institutions, and community stakeholders are expected in the coming days, as the local government and residents come to terms with the loss.
