The Commissioner of Police, Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU), Ikoyi, Lagos, CP Rose Chollom Dung, mni, spsp, has charged officers and men of the Unit to recommit themselves to professionalism, diligence, and strict adherence to the rule of law as the 2026 operational year begins.
CP Dung gave the charge during the Unit’s first briefing of the year, where she stressed the importance of maintaining the image and integrity of the Nigeria Police Force at all times. According to her, the conduct of individual officers reflects directly on the institution, making professionalism and discipline non-negotiable in the discharge of duties.
She urged officers to carry out their responsibilities with honesty, fairness, and respect for fundamental human rights, while cautioning against actions capable of bringing the Force into disrepute. The Commissioner also emphasized punctuality, proper turnout, and operational diligence as key elements of effective and modern policing.
Reaffirming that discipline remains the cornerstone of policing, CP Dung warned that unprofessional behaviour would not be tolerated. She further assured officers of the Unit’s commitment to continuous capacity building and accountability, encouraging them to approach the New Year with renewed dedication to national service and the protection of lives and property.
Addressing members of the public, the Commissioner reiterated the PSFU’s resolve to deliver effective, intelligence-led policing and to sustain strong collaboration with stakeholders to enhance public confidence. She also called on the public to continue supporting the Police with timely and credible information, assuring them of the Unit’s unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law and serving with integrity.
