As the July 12 local government elections draw near, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Epe has formally launched its campaign under the slogan “The Moving Trains 2025,” reaffirming its commitment to responsive governance and grassroots development.
In a statement issued by Hon. Oluwo Rasheed Olorunju, Councillor representing Ward A6 and a member of the APC campaign team, the party emphasized its readiness to deepen the impact of its leadership and consolidate on existing progress across Epe Local Government.
Hon. Olorunju highlighted the achievements of the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, describing her as a visionary leader whose administration has recorded significant strides in infrastructure, social welfare, education, and community development. He noted that her leadership style, marked by elegance, accountability, and grassroots engagement, has earned her widespread respect and support among constituents.
He further acknowledged the pivotal role of Hon. Sikiru Adeniyi Owolomose, Vice Chairman of the council, praising his steadfast commitment and contributions to the administration’s development agenda. According to Olorunju, both leaders have set a high standard of public service that the APC in Epe intends to build upon.
The statement also commended the dedication of other councilors serving in various wards, noting their critical role in representing the interests of their communities and ensuring inclusive participation in governance. Olorunju affirmed that the collective efforts of the APC team have strengthened the party’s grassroots network and fostered community-driven development.
