In commemoration of this year’s Children’s Day, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun has extended a heartfelt message to the children of Epe and across Nigeria, celebrating their potential and reaffirming her administration’s unwavering commitment to their welfare and development.
In her statement titled “Celebrating the Future”, Princess Animashaun described children as “the living dreams of our ancestors and the architects of tomorrow’s greatness,” highlighting their boundless creativity, resilience, and the vital role they play in shaping the nation’s future.
“Our children are the heart of our community,” she said. “Their laughter brings joy, their questions drive progress, and their dreams challenge us to build a better world.”
Princess Animashaun emphasized her administration’s focus on policies and initiatives that prioritize child welfare, including access to quality education, healthcare, and a safe, inclusive environment where every child—regardless of background—can thrive.
“As a government, we are committed to nurturing and empowering our children. In doing so, we are safeguarding the future of Epe and of Nigeria,” she stated.
She also called on parents, educators, community leaders, and stakeholders to join hands in shaping the next generation with love, discipline, and purpose, urging them to serve as role models and guiding lights.
“To all our children: keep dreaming, keep shining, and never stop believing in your potential. The future belongs to you—and we are proud to stand with you,” she concluded.
The Chairman’s Children’s Day message underscores the local government’s strategic focus on youth development and aligns with broader national efforts to promote child rights and empowerment across Nigeria.
