As the July 12, 2025 local government elections approach, the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government has called on residents to rally behind the re-election bid of Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, highlighting her track record of visionary leadership and transformative governance.
In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary, the administration of Hon. Animashaun was praised for driving sustainable development across Epe with tangible results in infrastructure, health, education, water, sanitation, and local economy.
“Leadership rooted in love for the people, driven by vision, and powered by integrity always yields progress,” the CPS noted. “In Epe today, that progress has a name — Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun.”
Hon. Animashaun made history as the first female Executive Chairman in the Epe division. Since assuming office, she has led with “unmatched passion, humility, and strength,” according to the statement. Her administration has overseen the construction of new roads, upgrades to primary health centres, renovation of public schools, installation of solar-powered boreholes, and modernization of markets — all contributing to an improved quality of life for residents.
The statement further highlighted her prior tenure as Supervisor for Environment, during which Epe was adjudged the cleanest local government in Lagos State for four consecutive years — a feat that still stands as a benchmark for others.
Described as a seasoned tourism expert and visionary policymaker, Hon. Animashaun’s leadership mantra, “My Community, My Pride,” has been visibly reflected in the scope and spirit of her governance, the CPS added.
