The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun has extended a heartfelt tribute in celebration of Father’s Day, saluting the contributions, sacrifices, and enduring legacies of fathers and father figures across the country.
In a statement today, Princess. Animashaun emphasized the vital role fathers play in shaping families and societies, describing them as “quiet architects of destiny” who lay the foundational pillars of wisdom, discipline, and love.
“Today, we do more than celebrate a title,” she stated. “We celebrate an unyielding spirit, a sacred responsibility, and a timeless legacy of guidance and sacrifice.”
The Epe LG boss used the occasion to pay personal tribute to her father and royal patriarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, Arolugbade I, the Oloja of Epe Land. She described the revered monarch as her “moral compass” and “a beacon of heritage,” acknowledging the profound influence he has had on her life and leadership.
“Your example has shaped my vision, fortified my values, and instilled in me a sense of duty far greater than myself,” she said. “You are more than a father—you are a blessing to our land.”
Princess. Animashaun further reaffirmed her commitment to serve the people of Epe with the same dignity, humility, and foresight that she attributes to her father’s reign, noting that leadership is a continuation of legacy and a reflection of the values inherited from parental figures.
Concluding her message, she extended warm wishes to fathers across Epe, Lagos State, and beyond, expressing gratitude for their unwavering dedication to family and community. “May your efforts never go unrewarded, and may your legacy continue to shine through every life you touch,” she said.
