The Chairperson of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, has declared her intention to seek re-election in the upcoming Lagos State Local Government elections scheduled for July 12.
Princess Animashaun, who has served as council chair since 2021, is running on a record of development-focused leadership and grassroots impact. Her announcement marks the beginning of a re-election campaign that emphasizes continuity, accountability, and expanded service delivery.
Since assuming office, Animashaun has overseen a series of projects aimed at improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, environmental sanitation, and local economic empowerment in Epe. Her administration is credited with upgrading several township roads, establishing modern primary health centres, and providing monthly financial assistance to indigent residents for medical bills. Public schools across the council area have also been renovated, while women, youths, artisans, and traders have benefited from empowerment initiatives.
