The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has launched the full-scale rehabilitation of the internal road network within the council’s premises—demonstrating once again his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development and responsive governance.
The rehabilitation project, which commenced with scarification of the deteriorated road surfaces, marks the first phase of a broader effort to upgrade the roads for improved access and functionality. Scarification, the removal of damaged top layers of asphalt, is a key preparatory step ahead of resurfacing and reconstruction.
According to a statement issued by Jubril Idris, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, the project aims to enhance both vehicular and pedestrian movement within the council grounds. It also serves to improve the overall ambience of the environment, reflecting the council’s high operational standards.
“This initiative is not merely about road repair—it is about building a more efficient and dignified workplace for our staff and a more welcoming atmosphere for the residents who visit daily,” the statement noted.
Hon. Akinloye’s administration continues to align its developmental strides with the Lagos State Government’s THEME+ Agenda, ensuring that infrastructure projects are people-centered and impactful.
The Chairman emphasized that the ongoing transformation within Eredo LCDA is not a future promise but an active process. “This is a statement of intent—to rebuild, restore, and reposition Eredo LCDA for excellence,” the statement concluded.
