As the local government elections draw near, the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has issued a passionate appeal for unity, collaboration, and inclusive governance among stakeholders, party members, and community leaders.
Speaking in the wake of the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election, Hon. Akinloye—who is seeking re-election—described the process as a true demonstration of democratic values. He lauded his fellow aspirants for their courage and commitment, emphasizing that intra-party contest should never be seen as division, but as a sign of collective passion for progress.
“We are not opponents; we are one progressive family,” he stated, expressing gratitude to his co-contestants and urging them to join him in a united front ahead of the polls.
In a move aimed at reinforcing party cohesion, the Chairman extended an open invitation to all aspirants and key stakeholders for a roundtable dialogue. “This is not about political showmanship,” he noted, “but a genuine step toward fostering unity. We must strategize together to ensure a decisive victory for the APC and continue supporting the renewed mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
He also took time to acknowledge the contributions of APC leaders within Eredo LCDA for their steadfast guidance and support, describing their role as instrumental to the successes achieved so far.
Addressing his supporters, Hon. Akinloye reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering more dividends of democracy. “We’ve laid the foundation, but the best is yet to come,” he said, pledging improvements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and people-centered governance.
As the campaign season intensifies, the Chairman urged all residents of Eredo LCDA to put collective interest above individual ambitions. “Now is the time to come together, prepare better, and move forward stronger,” he concluded.
