Members of the Evolving Women in Progress and Community Development (EWIP) today paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, at the council secretariat.
The group, known for its advocacy on gender inclusion and grassroots development, used the visit to commend the Chairman’s performance in office and to express their support for his re-election bid ahead of the forthcoming local government polls.
During the visit, Hon. Olowa praised the commitment and resilience of women in governance and community development, describing them as “a dedicated gender who give their all in the line of duty.” He thanked the delegation for their continued trust and encouragement.
In his remarks, the Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance and pledged to expand developmental projects across the local government if re-elected. “With the grace of God and the support of the people, I am committed to doing even more in a second term,” Olowa stated.
The EWIP delegation noted that their endorsement was based on visible progress and people-focused leadership witnessed under Olowa’s administration, particularly in health, education, and infrastructure.
The courtesy call is seen as part of increasing political engagements and stakeholder consultations in the build-up to the 2025 local government elections across Lagos State.
