The Federation of Epe Division Students’ Association (FEDSA) National Executive Council has publicly commended the Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye Ismail, for his unwavering commitment to educational development and youth empowerment.
In an official statement, FEDSA described Hon. Ismail as a visionary leader whose administration has consistently prioritized the needs of students and young people. According to the association, his dedication to education is evident through a range of transformative initiatives that are directly impacting lives across the LCDA.
One of the most notable interventions is the recent disbursement of ₦50,000 bursary awards to 100 indigent students within Eredo LCDA. This financial support, FEDSA noted, has provided relief and encouragement to families and students striving to pursue higher education amid economic challenges.
Hon. Ismail’s administration has also overseen significant improvements in educational infrastructure. Among the completed projects are the construction of a six-classroom block, principal’s office, staff room, and modern toilet facilities at Odomola Junior Secondary School. Similar projects were executed at UPE Primary School, Ajegbende (Odo-Egiri), where a six-classroom block with a head teacher’s office and toilet was built, as well as at UPE Primary School in Odogbawojo, which now boasts a new three-classroom block and administrative office.
Further demonstrating his inclusive educational agenda, the Chairman facilitated the free distribution of over 500 General Certificate of Education (GCE) and Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms to secondary school leavers, significantly reducing financial barriers to tertiary education for underprivileged youths.
In addition to these initiatives, Hon. Ismail has provided educational materials, including school bags and writing tools, to primary school pupils across Eredo LCDA. His administration has also implemented youth-focused empowerment programs, designed to prepare the next generation for leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihood.
FEDSA praised these interventions as not just policy promises but practical actions that reflect the Chairman’s commitment to building an enlightened and empowered society. The student body acknowledged that Hon. Ismail’s leadership represents a model of purposeful and responsive governance.
