Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, popularly known as the “Jaja of the Masses,” has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate for Ibeju-Lekki following a resounding victory in the party’s primary election held at the ACME Secretariat today.
In what supporters described as a landslide win, Hon. Olowa secured unanimous backing from all Local Government Area (LGA) delegates, solidifying his position as the party’s flagbearer for a second term.
The outcome was widely anticipated, given Olowa’s reputation for people-centered leadership and visible development strides in Ibeju-Lekki during his first term in office. His victory is being hailed by party stakeholders as a vote of confidence in his inclusive governance style and commitment to grassroots development.
Party executives and supporters celebrated the win, expressing appreciation to the LGA Executive Committee and the Apex political leadership in Ibeju-Lekki for their united front and steadfast support of Olowa’s candidacy.
A key figure acknowledged in the campaign’s success is Alhaji Bode Oyedele Kasheef, whose strategic leadership and backing were credited with playing a pivotal role in the primary election outcome.
In his post-election remarks, Hon. Olowa extended heartfelt gratitude to the people of Ibeju-Lekki and party delegates for their support. He pledged to continue delivering purposeful leadership that prioritizes community development, infrastructure, and inclusive governance.
“As we move toward the general election, I remain committed to building on our achievements and working even harder for the progress of every community in Ibeju-Lekki,” Olowa said.
With the APC ticket secured, Hon. Olowa is now set to contest in the forthcoming local government elections, with strong momentum from the party base and wide public support.
