Hon. Prince Bayo Balogun, Member of the House of Representatives for Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Electoral Matters, has been honoured with the “Most Improved Representative” award by Global Excellence Magazine in recognition of his outstanding strides in legislative performance and constituency engagement.
The award was presented by renowned media icon Mayor Akinpelu during a high-profile event that drew prominent political and community leaders from across Lagos State. Among the dignitaries present were Alhaja Adetoun Balogun, Hon. Abdulkabir Opeyemi Ogungbo (Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Taxation and Revenue), Hon. Oladele Ajayi (Member, Lagos State House of Assembly), Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa (Chairman, Ibeju-Lekki LGA), and Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji (Vice Chairman, Ibeju-Lekki LGA).
The award acknowledges Hon. Balogun’s growing influence as a federal lawmaker and his commitment to purposeful leadership marked by legislative advocacy, electoral reforms, and grassroots development initiatives in Ibeju-Lekki. His tenure has seen significant improvements in youth empowerment, infrastructure support, and civic engagement across the constituency.
In a congratulatory statement, Ambassador SMASE Provost Ibraheem Ogunbanwo, Treasurer of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos State Chapter, hailed the recognition as a reflection of Hon. Balogun’s progressive leadership and a source of inspiration for youth across Lagos and Nigeria.
