In a continued push to promote academic excellence and human capital development, the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has presented a ₦500,000 cash reward to Mr. Sanni Yusuf, an indigene of Solu Alade and a first-class graduate of Lagos State University (LASU).
The latest award marks the fifth time an indigene of the council has benefited from the Chairman’s Academic Excellence Reward Initiative, a programme designed to celebrate exceptional students and motivate others to pursue excellence in their academic pursuits.
Speaking on the initiative, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Olowa, reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to investing in education as a cornerstone for community and national development. He emphasized that recognizing intellectual achievement is part of efforts to inspire young people to see education as a pathway to empowerment and leadership.
The beneficiary, Mr. Sanni Yusuf, expressed profound gratitude to the Council for the recognition and pledged to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of his community.
The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government’s education incentive programme has continued to serve as a model for grassroots educational support in Lagos State, underscoring the administration’s belief that rewarding excellence builds a culture of diligence, discipline, and civic responsibility among the youth.
