The International Coaching Federation, Nigeria Charter Chapter (ICFN), will commemorate its 10th anniversary as part of this year’s International Coaching Week (ICW), a global celebration of the power and impact of professional coaching. The milestone event begins on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, and will be marked by a high-profile conference in Lagos.
Themed “Impact Conference: A Decade of Coaching Impact,” the anniversary celebration will take place at Alliance Française, Mike Adenuga Centre, Victoria Island. The event will feature Dr. Tunde Reis as the keynote speaker, alongside an expert panel including Samson Umurhurhu, PCC; Dr. Mirian Kene, PCC; Femi Odelusi, PCC; and Linda Uneze, ACC.
Speaking ahead of the event, Charles Okeibunor, Membership Director of ICF Nigeria, emphasized the importance of International Coaching Week in showcasing the transformative power of coaching.
“Each year, ICW serves as a global platform to help people understand that coaching is more than just advice or sports training—it’s an empowering conversation designed to unlock potential and help individuals achieve their goals,” said Okeibunor. “We are inviting professionals across all sectors—law, medicine, engineering, banking, and beyond—to explore how coaching can support both personal and corporate development.”
International Coaching Week (ICW), established by the International Coaching Federation in 1999, is held annually in May. This year’s celebration runs from May 12 to 18, 2025, featuring a series of global and local events including webinars, panel discussions, coaching demos, and free coaching sessions.
ICW aims to raise awareness of coaching as a powerful tool for growth and transformation, connecting coaches with clients and the public in meaningful ways.
