Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, is actively participating in the World Police Summit 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 13 to 15. The summit, themed “Beyond the Badge: Envision the Next Era of Policing,” brings together over 17,000 visitors, including 100 chiefs of police from more than 130 countries, to discuss the future of law enforcement.
During the summit, IGP Egbetokun toured the Exhibition Centre, engaging with global law enforcement leaders and exploring cutting-edge innovations in technology-driven policing. He participated in strategic discussions focusing on intelligence sharing, training exchange programs, and joint operations aimed at combating cyber-enabled crimes and enhancing border security.
The summit features technology showcases, strategic workshops, and collaborative panels addressing crime forecasting, next-generation forensic tools, community policing, and digital identity systems. These areas are identified as vital to Nigeria’s future-facing security architecture.
Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, emphasized that the IGP’s participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to international cooperation, modernization of policing strategies, and intelligence-led law enforcement in an increasingly interconnected and technologically driven world.
