In a renewed drive to strengthen intelligence-led policing as a cornerstone of internal security, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun on today inspected state-of-the-art intelligence installations at the Idu Community in Abuja.
The visit forms part of the Nigeria Police Force’s strategic collaboration with indigenous security experts, particularly EIB STRATOC, a homegrown security solutions provider, aimed at enhancing the nation’s security architecture through technology-driven intelligence.
Accompanied by senior police chiefs including DIG Ben Nebeolisa Okolo of the Force Intelligence Department, DIG Adebowale Williams of ICT, AIG Adeleke Taiwo of the Department of Operations, and CP Felix Obe of Federal Operations, the IGP underscored that intelligence gathering remains the bedrock of effective policing in the 21st century.
IGP Egbetokun reaffirmed the commitment of the Force under his leadership to leveraging technology, innovation, and both local and international expertise to stay ahead of emerging security threats. He explained that the partnership with EIB STRATOC will not only boost operational capabilities but also deepen public trust and collaboration with key stakeholders in the security ecosystem.
“The Nigeria Police is determined to embrace cutting-edge technology for modern policing,” the IGP noted, commending EIB STRATOC for its innovative contributions to security solutions. He also urged other security experts and Nigerians to partner with the Police and other security agencies to strengthen technology-driven intelligence gathering for a safer and more secure nation.
This inspection highlights the ongoing reforms within the Nigeria Police Force aimed at building a robust, intelligence-led policing framework capable of addressing contemporary security challenges across the country.
