The Kano State Government has officially kicked off the 2025 Ramadan Feeding Programme, aimed at providing daily iftar meals to 91,000 vulnerable residents in the state.
The programme, which will run for 27 days, is part of the government’s efforts to support the population of Ramadan observers.
The Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, who also serves as the chairman of the programme, launched the initiative at the Dandali Centre in Fagge Local Government Area.
He expressed satisfaction with the smooth take off of the programme and urged catering contractors involved to ensure timely and efficient delivery of meals to all feeding centers.
The programme will be implemented across 91 designated feeding centers, with catering service providers engaged to prepare and deliver 91,000 plates of food per day.
The State Government has allocated significant resources to ensure the success of the programme, demonstrating its commitment to supporting vulnerable residents during the holy month of Ramadan.
