In a bid to improve access to primary healthcare services and promote preventive care at the grassroots, the Lagos State Health District III, in collaboration with Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, is set to host a free medical outreach for residents of the area.
The initiative, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Secretariat in Igando-Oloja, will commence at 9:00 a.m. and offer a wide range of health services at no cost to participants.
Services to be provided include medical consultations, diagnosis and treatment of common ailments, drug dispensation, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, dental care including tooth extractions, eye examinations with free prescription glasses, family planning services, immunizations, and general health education.
This outreach forms part of the ongoing efforts of the Lagos State Government to expand access to quality healthcare, particularly in underserved communities, and aligns with the administration’s “Health and Environment” pillar under the THEMES+ development agenda.
Over the years, Lagos State Health District III, which covers Eti-Osa, Ibeju-Lekki, Epe, and parts of Lekki, has consistently partnered with local governments and development partners to bridge healthcare gaps and encourage preventive health practices among residents.
Speaking ahead of the programme, officials from Ibeju-Lekki Local Government reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that all residents, regardless of socio-economic status, have access to basic healthcare services.
