The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, on Monday received members of the MFA Ambassadors during a courtesy visit led by the group’s Director-General, Hon. Saheed Balogun, and Coordinator, Ogbeni Jamiu Olawale. The delegation was accompanied by the Chief Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Member representing Ibeju-Lekki Constituency 1, Rt. Hon. Mojeed Fatai Adebola.
The visit served as an opportunity to brief the Chairman on the grassroots mobilization activities of the Independent Campaign Group, under the MFA banner. As part of the engagement, the group presented 4,000 printed campaign posters in support of the Executive Chairman’s re-election efforts.
In his remarks, Hon. Olowa commended the MFA Ambassadors for their dedication and tireless efforts, particularly in canvassing voters across Ward E. “Their commitment has been exceptional—rain or shine, they have been on the move,” he said, praising the group’s strategic outreach. He acknowledged the importance of their contributions, describing the MFA Ambassadors as a “critical component of the Independent Campaign Group whose model will be replicated across all wards.”
Also speaking, Rt. Hon. Mojeed Fatai Adebola praised Hon. Olowa for his developmental strides and reaffirmed the MFA Ambassadors’ unwavering support. “Charity begins at home,” he said, emphasizing that the coming elections must reflect the party’s commitment to true democratic principles through effective grassroots mobilization.
The event also saw notable endorsements and material support from other key stakeholders. The Vice Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji, and the APC Chairman for Ibeju-Lekki, Hon. Aliasau Eletu, each made donations to support the group’s campaign activities.
Hon. Babatunde Surakat Idogun lauded Hon. Olowa’s leadership, praying for continued progress in the next administration, and extended similar wishes to Rt. Hon. Mojeed Fatai.
Present at the event were the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Mojeed Olayinka, and the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adebanjo Adewale, among other dignitaries.
