The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under Operation Hadin Kai, has executed precision overnight airstrikes on fleeing terrorist elements in Bita, Borno State, in what military sources describe as a major tactical success in the ongoing counterinsurgency campaign in the North-East.
According to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the strikes—carried out under the cover of darkness—resulted in the neutralisation of scores of insurgents. The mission was closely coordinated with ground forces, which have since launched clearance operations to consolidate the gains.
The statement described the action as a significant step toward degrading the operational capacity of terrorist groups in the region. It also reaffirmed the NAF’s commitment to defending Nigeria’s territorial integrity and protecting civilians from terrorist threats.
