A transformative six-week Youth Series Self-Development Training Workshop has successfully concluded, empowering hundreds of young Nigerians with vital personal and professional development skills.
Spearheaded by Bridge To Possibilities in collaboration with the American Corner, the United States Diplomatic Mission in Nigeria, and 21st Century Technologies, the workshop delivered a series of interactive sessions designed to enhance youth capacity across key areas such as financial literacy, career planning, leadership, and personal growth.
The initiative received strong grassroots support, particularly in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, where the Chairman of the Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, played a pivotal role. His steadfast commitment to youth empowerment was praised by organizers and participants alike.
“Chairman Olowa’s support underscores the importance of local leadership in national development efforts. His vision and dedication have significantly contributed to the success of this initiative in Ibeju-Lekki and beyond,” said Amb. SMASE Provost Ibraheem Ogunbanwo, Treasurer of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos State Chapter.
Participants described the workshop—particularly the Financial and Professional Development sessions—as deeply impactful, providing them with tools to navigate both career and life challenges with greater confidence.
Organizers expressed hope that the beneficiaries will emerge as community ambassadors, applying their new skills to drive positive change in their localities.
The workshop is part of a broader effort to equip Nigerian youth with the knowledge and resources needed to thrive in an evolving socio-economic landscape.
