An uncompleted two-storey building collapsed on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Otta Ona Junction, opposite the Mobil filling station in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed the incident and swiftly deployed its Response Teams and Pre-Hospital Care Unit to the scene. So far, five people have been rescued from the rubble, while several others are believed to be trapped.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing, with emergency responders working to locate and assist any remaining victims.
LASEMA has assured the public that the situation is under control and that all necessary response protocols are being followed. The agency urges residents to stay calm and avoid the area to allow for uninterrupted emergency operations.
