The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, hosted the Principal Staff Officer to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), CP Ahmed Adio Lateef as part of its ongoing Strategic Lecture Series designed to build professionalism and ethical standards among future police officers.
The lecture, titled “Upholding Ethics and Professionalism in Policing: A Path to Excellence”, was both compelling and thought-provoking. Drawing from his extensive academic and operational experience, CP Ahmed engaged cadets and directing staff on the importance of integrity, discipline, and adherence to professional standards in modern policing.
He was accompanied by his course mate and close associate, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, psc, the 47th Commissioner of Police in charge of Kano State Command, whose presence further enriched the session with practical insights from field operations.
The Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, AIG Patrick Atayero who hosted the event, reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to instilling the highest values of professionalism, discipline, and ethical responsibility in cadets preparing for active service.
The lecture is in line with the vision of the 22nd Indigenous Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun to promote continuous learning, operational readiness, and excellence in the Force.
