Nigeria Police Academy Sends Cadets on Break, Commandant Reaffirms Zero Tolerance for Indiscipline

The Nigeria Police Academy has announced that cadets from Regular Courses 8, 9, 10, and 11 have commenced their official exeat break, which begins on September 26, 2025, and runs until November 10–11, 2025.

Before their departure, the Commandant of the Academy, AIG Patrick A. Atayero, MSc(UK), MBA(USA), psc, addressed the cadets at the Tattoo Parade, where he emphasized the institution’s uncompromising stance on discipline and integrity.

The Commandant reiterated the Academy’s zero tolerance for drug use, indiscipline, and misconduct, warning that any breach of its code of conduct would attract strict sanctions. He urged the cadets to use the break responsibly by reconnecting with their families while remaining committed to the values of professionalism and service.

“At the Nigeria Police Academy, we place discipline at the core of our training philosophy. Any cadet who deviates from these standards will be held accountable,” Atayero stated.

The Academy, located in Wudil, Kano State, reaffirmed its commitment to grooming morally upright, disciplined, and professional police officers capable of meeting the nation’s security challenges.

This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Academy’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Musa Isah Umar, on behalf of the Commandant.
