The Nigeria Police Academy has unveiled a fully refurbished and upgraded Parade Review Vehicle, marking a renewed commitment to professionalism, tradition, and institutional discipline within the Force.
The unveiling ceremony, held at the Academy’s premises in Wudil, Kano State, was led by the Commandant of the Academy, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Patrick A. Atayero. The event highlighted the significance of the vehicle in police ceremonial duties and its role in reinforcing the Academy’s standards of regimentation and pride.
According to AIG Atayero, the refurbishment of the Parade Review Vehicle is in line with ongoing efforts to improve the Academy’s operational efficiency and to preserve the traditions that define police service. He emphasized that the vehicle, which serves as a platform of honor during parades and ceremonial inspections, is a symbol of the values upheld by the Nigeria Police Force.
The project was initially launched under the leadership of DIG Sadiq A. Abubakar, the former Commandant. AIG Atayero praised the continuity of vision, stating that the successful completion of the refurbishment demonstrates a shared dedication to sustaining key institutional assets.
Flanked by senior officers, the Commandant inspected and personally test-drove the vehicle, using the occasion to urge all departments within the Academy to adopt a strong culture of maintenance. He stressed the importance of safeguarding the institution’s resources for future generations of police cadets.
The brief but significant event was concluded with a reaffirmation of the Academy’s mission to foster discipline, structure, and professionalism in the training of future police officers.
