Police In Lagos Rescue 27 Foreigners Inside Kidnappers Den

The Police in Lagos have rescued twenty-seven trafficked foreigners in Isheri Oshun, Alimosho Local Government Area of the State.

Following a report, that a thirty-year-old female Ghanaian had been held hostage in the area, police operatives were deployed to the scene and successfully rescued the victim alongside other eighteen males and eight females of different foreign nationalities.

Spokesperson for Lagos State Police Command, Mr. Benjamin Hundeyin who disclosed this, said the victims were lured to Nigeria under the pretext of getting them jobs.

“Also three kidnapped victims were rescued at Lekki-Epe Expressway in Ibeju-Lekki, where they had been held captive”.

Mr. Hundeyin who said, a coordinated operation by the Anti-Kidnapping and Counter-Kidnapping Unit successfully led to the rescue of the victims, who were found deep in a forest along the area.

He said they had since been reunited with their families after medical treatment.
