The Nigeria Police Force has redeployed its spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Olumuyiwa Adejobi, to the Delta State Command as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations.
The redeployment follows his recent promotion to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police, a development that marks another milestone in his distinguished career in public service and law enforcement.
Adejobi, who became widely known for his strategic communication and public engagement as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), will now bring his experience to operational leadership in Delta State. During his tenure as the police spokesperson, he strengthened the relationship between the Force and the public by improving transparency, prompt information dissemination, and crisis communication.
Police sources confirmed that the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer will handle the spokesperson role in acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive FPRO.
Adejobi’s redeployment comes at a critical time for the Delta Command, where operational efficiency and community trust remain vital in addressing emerging security challenges in the region.
His track record of professionalism, integrity, and effective leadership is expected to bolster the command’s operational strategies and improve collaboration between the police and local communities.
