Residents of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have commended the Executive Chairman, Hon Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, for what they describe as purposeful and people-oriented leadership that has significantly transformed the council’s infrastructure and public services
According to members of the community, Hon Akinloye’s administration has delivered tangible improvements across key sectors, particularly in road construction, school rehabilitation, and healthcare facility upgrades. They noted that these developments have enhanced mobility, improved access to education, and strengthened healthcare delivery in the area
“We have witnessed steady progress since Hon Akinloye came into office,” said Kehinde Ajayi, a resident of Eredo. “Roads that were once impassable are now motorable, and our children are learning in better school environments. His leadership has brought visible change”
In the health sector, residents acknowledged the rehabilitation and equipping of primary health centres, which they say has improved access to essential medical services. “The health centres are more functional now, and it’s easier to get treatment within the community,” said Mrs Rasheedat Bello, a trader and mother of three
The infrastructural strides, according to the residents, align with the Lagos State Government’s THEMES agenda, which prioritises infrastructure renewal, education, and social welfare at the grassroots. They believe Hon Akinloye’s performance reflects a deep understanding of local needs and a strong commitment to community development
“We feel included in governance,” said youth leader Tunde Bakare. “The chairman consults with us regularly and follows through on his promises. That’s the kind of leadership we want to see at the local level”
As Eredo continues on a path of renewal and progress, inhabitants expressed hope that the momentum will be sustained and expanded to more parts of the council. Many credited Hon Akinloye’s inclusive approach and development-focused governance style as the driving force behind the positive changes witnessed so far.
