The Founder of the Nigeria’s Silent Heroes Awards (SHA) Initiative, Mr. Odita Sunday, has commended the Federal Government for appointing veteran broadcaster Stella Din-Jacob as the Executive Director, News, of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
In a statement released in Abuja, Mr. Sunday described Din-Jacob as a seasoned journalist, consummate media manager, and a shining example of excellence in Nigeria’s broadcast industry. He noted that her appointment reflects decades of professionalism, integrity, and hard work.
“Stella Din-Jacob has paid her dues in the media sector, demonstrating rare passion, resilience, and innovation,” he said. “Her appointment as Executive Director, News, at NTA is a recognition of merit and capacity, and we are confident that she will bring her wealth of experience to bear in repositioning news delivery at the nation’s foremost broadcast outfit.”
The Silent Heroes Awards Initiative, which celebrates individuals making selfless and often unsung contributions to national development, emphasized that Din-Jacob embodies the values of silent heroism, service, and dedication that the project promotes.
Mr. Sunday also congratulated the management of the Nigerian Television Authority, while encouraging Din-Jacob to continue serving as a role model to young journalists, particularly women aspiring to leadership roles in the media industry.
