coalition of student bodies across Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area has formally endorsed the Executive Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, for a second term in office. The endorsement was delivered during a courtesy visit to the council secretariat, where student leaders praised Hon. Olowa’s administration for its transformative impact on education and youth development.
Led by the Supervisor for Education, Hon. Ogungbo Temitope Sofwan, and accompanied by the Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman on Education, Students Affairs and Mobilisation, Comrade Oladimeji Ibrahim, the delegation comprised members of the Young Leaders Forum, People Progressive Change, National Association of Ibeju-Lekki Students (NAILS), and the Federation of Epe Students Association (FEDSA).
The student representatives commended Hon. Olowa’s leadership style, describing it as inclusive, responsive, and focused on long-term community development. They cited numerous achievements under his tenure, including the renovation of public schools, award of academic scholarships, and implementation of youth-focused empowerment programmes.
“We are here today not just to show our appreciation, but to declare our full support for your second term,” one student leader stated. “Your investment in education and your accessibility as a leader have given us a renewed sense of hope.”
In his response, Hon. Olowa expressed gratitude for the show of confidence and pledged to deepen his administration’s commitment to education and youth advancement if re-elected.
“I am truly honoured by your endorsement. Our young people are the future of Ibeju-Lekki, and it remains my top priority to create an enabling environment where they can thrive,” he said.
The endorsement signals growing grassroots support for Hon. Olowa’s second term bid, especially among youth and student communities, ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.
