The Ywom Traditional Council of Garkawa District in Mikang Local Government Area, Plateau State, has extended its condolences to Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, Managing Director and CEO of CEOAFRICA, following the death of his father, Chief Ogbuefi Clement Ilobanafor, who passed away on June 22, 2025.
In an official letter dated July 3, 2025, and signed by His Royal Highness AIG Bashir E. Makama Dabup III (psc+ Rtd), the Mwo-Ywom of Garkawa, the Council expressed profound sorrow over the loss, describing Chief Ilobanafor as a man of “great dignity, wisdom, and moral strength.”
“On behalf of the Ywom Traditional Council and the entire Ywom Nation, I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of your beloved patriarch, Chief Ogbuefi Clement Ilobanafor,” the statement read. “His legacy as a father, leader, and elder statesman will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched both directly and indirectly.”
The Council paid tribute to the late Chief’s enduring influence in his family, community, and the wider society, noting that his contributions would remain etched in memory. The letter also conveyed a message of comfort and spiritual support, offering prayers for peace, healing, and divine strength to the bereaved family.
“In this moment of deep grief, we pray that God Almighty consoles you, your immediate and extended family, and indeed the entire community. May you find strength in the values he upheld and the love he so generously gave,” the Council said.
The statement further offered prayers for the repose of Chief Ilobanafor’s soul, asking that “the angels of God will lead him into the bosom of Abraham, where peace is eternal.”
Concluding the message, the Ywom Traditional Council expressed solidarity with the Ilobanafor family, stating, “May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in perfect peace. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies.”
The Council’s message stands as a mark of respect and communal support for Prince Ilobanafor and his family during their time of mourning, honoring the memory of a distinguished patriarch whose life and legacy continue to resonate across generations.
