In a move to deepen the integration of technology into national security operations, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, led the Force Management Team on a strategic inspection of indigenous security technology facilities at Briech UAS in Kuje, Federal Capital Territory, on May 6, 2025.
The visit featured hands-on demonstrations of advanced surveillance tools, drone-enabled patrol systems, and other innovative security solutions developed by Nigerian tech experts. The IGP also held engagements with local tech entrepreneurs driving these innovations.
Dr. Egbetokun reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to partnering with the domestic tech ecosystem to co-create scalable, security-focused technologies tailored to Nigeria’s specific needs. He emphasized that such collaborations are central to the Force’s strategic vision of improving operational efficiency, fostering transparency, and building public trust through innovation-led policing.
This tour underscores the Force’s evolving approach to modern policing, with a strong focus on local capacity and cutting-edge technological integration.
