Tinubu’s National Communication Team Reviews Mid-Term Progress, Sets New Targets to Amplify Administration’s Achievements

The National Communication Team of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying public awareness of the Federal Government’s achievements, particularly in infrastructure, rural development, agriculture, and national security—key focus areas under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Following a comprehensive mid-term performance review, the team, chaired by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, evaluated the effectiveness of its communication strategies and outlined new targets to improve message delivery to Nigerians and the global community.

Minister Idris, in his remarks, praised the growing synergy among the Ministry, public communication agencies, and presidential media aides. He noted that the improved coordination has significantly enhanced the clarity, consistency, and reach of messages surrounding the Tinubu administration’s policies and milestones.

“This collaboration has not only improved the quality of public communication but also played a role in rebuilding public trust and fostering a better understanding of government interventions,” the Minister said.

He emphasized the importance of continued professionalism and unified messaging, urging stakeholders to deepen inter-agency cooperation to ensure the Renewed Hope Agenda resonates more clearly with citizens across all regions.

To further boost engagement and transparency, the Minister called for an expansion of the government’s town hall meeting initiative. These forums, to be held across Nigeria’s 36 states and the FCT, will allow direct interaction between government officials and citizens, promoting participatory governance and accountability.

The National Communication Team also reiterated its commitment to inclusive communication, emphasizing the need for a national conversation that reflects the positive impact of federal programs while encouraging civic responsibility and unity.

Present at the strategy session were key media and communication figures in the administration, including:

DG, NTA: Comrade Abdulhamid Dembos

DG, FRCN: Dr. Mohammed Bulama

DG, NOA: Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu

DG, VON: Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace

Also in attendance were presidential aides including Bayo Onanuga, Sunday Dare, Daniel Bwala, Tope Ajayi, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, Otega Ogra, Linda Akhigbe, and Ali Audu.
