The Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park in Dadi-Kowa, Gombe State, is fast emerging as a major catalyst for economic diversification and industrial development in Nigeria.
Chairman of the park’s Interim Management Committee, Mallam Bashir Nuhu, made this known during a media briefing on the project’s progress. He described the park as a transformative investment hub that aligns with efforts to reduce the nation’s dependence on oil and foster sustainable growth through industrialization.
Mallam Nuhu emphasized the role of industrial parks in attracting both local and foreign investments, creating jobs, and boosting regional competitiveness. He praised Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for championing the project, calling it a strategic move to revitalize the North East economy.
“Twelve manufacturing companies are already constructing their facilities within the park, while another fourteen are awaiting government approvals to commence operations,” Nuhu revealed.
He added that the park boasts critical infrastructure, including a well-laid road network, solar-powered street lighting, steady water supply, robust security presence, and residential housing for workers and investors.
Echoing this sentiment, Factory Manager of Premier Seed Nigeria Limited, Mr. Victrus Audu, commended the Gombe State Government for creating an investor-friendly environment. He noted that reliable infrastructure and security were among the key factors influencing the company’s investment decision.
The Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park is expected to play a key role in positioning Gombe State as a manufacturing and investment destination in northern Nigeria.
