In a stunning show of party strength and grassroots solidarity, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Lekki LCDA held a vibrant mega rally on Thursday, July 4, despite heavy rainfall, drawing thousands of enthusiastic supporters to the grounds of Community Primary School, Iberekodo.
The rally was held in support of the party’s Chairmanship candidates—Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa for Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Hon. Razaq Bamidele Kasali for Lekki LCDA—as well as councillorship candidates across the eleven wards under both councils.
The atmosphere was electric, as party faithful waved banners and chanted slogans in praise of APC leadership and achievements. The event was marked by coordinated displays of loyalty from across the wards, who reaffirmed their commitment to delivering overwhelming votes in the July 12 local council elections.
Present at the rally were key APC stakeholders, including a chieftain and member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Alhaji Akani Seriki (Bamu Authority); former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sabit Adeyemi Ikuforiji; Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bayo Balogun; and Yeye Olayinka Olusanya. Also in attendance were Chief Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojeed Fatai Adebola; Special Advisers to the Governor, Hon. Abdul-Kabir Opeyemi Ogungbo (Taxation and Revenue), and Hon. Abiola Olowu (Energy and Mineral Resources); Hon. Muslim Folami; Hon. Idowu Eletu; and APC State Executive Member, Hon. Balogun Olugbenga Kazeem.
Adding further weight to the event was the grand arrival of APC apex leaders—His Excellency, Alhaji Bode Kashif Oyedele; Dr. Odutola Kasali; and Alhaji Tunde Isiaq—whose presence underscored the significance of the rally and energized the massive crowd.
Speaker after speaker reiterated the need for voter mobilization and turnout on election day. The message was unified: APC represents performance, continuity, and trusted leadership at the grassroots level.
“This isn’t just a campaign, it’s a movement for development,” said one party leader, speaking to the crowd. “On July 12, we will not just vote—we will protect the legacy of progress built over the years.”
As chants of “Jaja” and “RBK” echoed across the rally grounds, it became clear that the APC’s message of continuity and results-driven leadership resonated strongly with the people of Ibeju-Lekki.
With just days to the election, the party appears poised to consolidate its influence, buoyed by a unified structure, visible achievements, and broad community support.
