The Office of the Executive Chairman, Epe Local Government, has debunked a forged document currently circulating on social media, falsely presented as the academic credentials of Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI. The council described the document as fake, fraudulent, and a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and smear the reputation of the council boss.
In an official statement issued by the Office of the Executive Chairman, the council emphasized that the purported credentials are the handiwork of mischief-makers bent on tarnishing the image of a woman whose record of public service and integrity remains unblemished.
According to the statement, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun is a woman of proven character, competence, and verifiable achievements. Her academic journey, the council noted, can be independently confirmed at Baptist Primary School, Ijero, Lagos State, where she completed the 1984/1985 set, and at Jubril Martins High School, Iponri, where she was part of the 1991 set. Members of the public have been urged to verify these facts directly from the institutions.
The council further explained that prior to her emergence as the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, all her academic and personal documents were subjected to thorough screening and clearance by the Department of State Services (DSS), the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), and other relevant government agencies. “Her records remain authentic, transparent, and consistent, reflecting her integrity and dedication to public service,” the statement added.
Issuing a stern warning, the council said that the spread of forged documents and defamatory content constitutes a criminal offence under Nigerian law. It disclosed that investigations have commenced to identify and prosecute the individuals or groups behind the forgery. “The long arm of justice will not spare anyone found culpable,” the statement warned.
It further cautioned that anyone who continues to circulate or repost the fake document after this official clarification would face legal consequences. “Enough is enough. We will no longer tolerate the deliberate peddling of falsehood aimed at discrediting the leadership and progress being recorded in Epe Local Government,” the statement declared.
The public was therefore urged to disregard the fake results and treat them as baseless propaganda orchestrated by detractors. The council reaffirmed that Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun remains a beacon of purposeful leadership — one guided by integrity, vision, and measurable impact.
