Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Records Resounding Success on Second Day in Ibeju-Lekki

The Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has entered its second day with remarkable success, bringing relief and renewed optimism to residents across the area.

The exercise, which took place on Tuesday, 8th October 2025, covered the Orimedu, Orofun, and Akodo communities of Ward C1, with an impressive turnout of beneficiaries who participated in the registration and verification process.

Under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, the ongoing initiative aims to support vulnerable households through direct cash transfers designed to reduce poverty and promote inclusive growth within the local government area.

Observers described the registration process as smooth and well-coordinated, attributing the efficiency to effective planning and the cooperation of residents. The exercise also demonstrated strong community engagement and alignment with the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes social welfare and grassroots empowerment.

The CCT registration continues tomorrow, Wednesday, 9th October 2025, in Ward C2, covering the Okun-Ilado, Iberekodo, and Magbon-Alade communities.

The programme has continued to draw commendation for its transparency and accessibility, reflecting the Ibeju-Lekki Council’s commitment to improving the socioeconomic well-being of its people through sustainable development initiatives.
