Selection Board Exercise Commences at Nigeria Police Academy for Regular Course 12

The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil–Kano, has commenced the Selection Board Exercise for candidates of the 12th Regular Course, marking the final stage of the rigorous admission screening process into the institution.

The exercise, which began on Monday, brought together key representatives from major national institutions and oversight bodies involved in the recruitment process. Among those present were delegates from the Ministry of Police Affairs, the Federal Character Commission, the Police Service Commission, and the Office of the Inspector-General of Police. Also in attendance were the Head of the Department of Psychology, Deans of all faculties, the Academy Registrar, the Provost, other key secretariat staff, and the Chairman of the Board, who is also the Commandant of the Academy, AIG Patrick A. Atayero.

The Selection Board commenced a thorough assessment of shortlisted candidates who had successfully passed through earlier stages of the screening. According to the Commandant, the process is designed to ensure that only the most qualified and deserving applicants are admitted into the prestigious institution.

AIG Atayero warned applicants against engaging in any financial inducement or falling victim to fraudulent individuals claiming to offer admission assistance. He emphasized that admission into the Nigeria Police Academy is strictly based on merit, transparency, and due process.

He further cautioned candidates to disregard unverified social media accounts and fake online platforms impersonating the Academy, noting that the institution’s official and verified Facebook page is clearly marked with a blue verification tick.

The Commandant congratulated all applicants who made it to this crucial stage and urged them to remain focused, vigilant, and disciplined throughout the exercise. He also advised them to rely solely on credible media outlets and the Academy’s official communication channels for authentic updates.

AIG Atayero wished the aspirants safe journeys back to their destinations as the Selection Board Exercise continues in the coming days, reaffirming the Academy’s commitment to upholding excellence, fairness, and integrity in the training of future police officers.
