The Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, AIG Patrick A. Atayero, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the National Assembly as part of efforts to deepen collaboration between the legislature and the Police Academy.
During the visit, Atayero presented a commemorative plaque to the Chairman of the House Committee on Police Affairs, Hon. Dr. Makki Abubakar Yelleman, in appreciation of his sustained support to the Academy, including his attendance at the recent Passing Out Parade of Regular Course 7.
The meeting focused on strengthening institutional synergy to enhance police training, education, and capacity development. Atayero said the Academy remains committed to producing well-trained, disciplined, and professional officers capable of meeting Nigeria’s evolving security needs.
DCP Etete Bolou, the National Assembly Liaison Officer for the Nigeria Police Force, was also in attendance during the engagement, which both sides described as constructive and necessary for advancing policing standards in the country.
The visit underscores the Academy’s ongoing efforts to expand partnerships that can support reforms and boost the quality of police personnel across Nigeria.
