Former Defence Minister Denies Plans to Defect to ADC

Former Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that he is in talks to defect to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a statement issued on Monday, the former minister described the reports as false, unfounded, and a product of political mischief, insisting that there was no truth in the claims.
According to the statement, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar remains firmly committed to the All Progressives Congress (APC), a party he helped to establish, and maintains what was described as absolute and unwavering loyalty to its ideals and leadership.
The statement urged members of the public and supporters of the APC to disregard the misleading reports, stressing that the former defence minister has no intention whatsoever of leaving the ruling party.
It reaffirmed that Badaru Abubakar continues to be a dedicated member of the APC and remains focused on contributing to the party’s growth and stability.
