The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Police Command, Bode Ojajuni, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to enhancing security across academic institutions in the state.
This followed a courtesy visit by the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences Abeokuta, Fatiu Abiola Arogundade, and his management team at the Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
The engagement focused on strengthening collaboration between the Nigeria Police and the university community, with emphasis on safeguarding students, staff, and critical infrastructure. Both parties also explored proactive strategies to address emerging security concerns and improve intelligence sharing mechanisms.
CP Ojajuni commended the Vice Chancellor and his delegation for the visit, describing it as a step in the right direction towards building a secure and conducive learning environment. He reiterated the Command’s readiness to support institutions across the state in maintaining peace and order necessary for academic excellence.
The visit highlights ongoing efforts to deepen partnerships between security agencies and educational institutions in promoting safety and stability within Ogun State.
